Our Approach

Therapy is about being truly seen and heard. It's a warm, supportive space where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are held with care by someone you trust and feel comfortable with.

What you can expect

    • Support That Meets You Where You Are
Finding the right psychologist is about finding someone you truly connect with.

We believe therapy should start with you, your pace, your comfort level, your stage of life. It's not about being told what to do, but about being supported as you figure out what works best for you.

Whether you're ready to dive deep or just want to take things one step at a time, we're here to meet you exactly where you're at.

    • Your Goals
Each session is guided by your goals, your emotional needs, and what matters most to you.

Whether you need space to speak freely without interruption, or you prefer more structure and guidance, therapy is shaped around what feels right for you.

    • Support That Empowers and Heals
Therapy is about more than just talking, it's about equipping you with the tools, skills, and insights to better understand yourself and navigate life with confidence.

Along the way, you may uncover powerful self-realisations and begin to heal emotional wounds from the past. It's a process of growth, self-awareness, and meaningful change, at your own pace.

    • Change, One Step at a Time
Therapy can be a space for putting new behaviours, habits, and strategies into practice.

It’s about finding what feels right and useful for you, and moving forward at a pace that fits your readiness and goals.

    • Growth You Can Feel in Everyday
As your self-understanding and emotional resilience grow, meaningful changes begin to show up in everyday life: better health, stronger relationships, increased work satisfaction, improved mental well-being, and a greater ability to build and maintain healthy habits.

A bit about our name, ‘On Being Psychology’

At On Being Psychology, we believe there’s nothing wrong with identifying with the mind, intellect however when we are over-identifying with it, when we’re being “unconscious” it can lead to human suffering. Can we become more than just our minds?

Who are you? What is your core or your essence? Are you your mind, your intellect, your ego, is there more to you than that?

Can we integrate our heart, our souls, our essence? Can we become more whole as a human being? That is our ethos at OBP - to go deeper into our personalities, our “Selves” and become a more whole and integrated, more authentic self. This person will still of course experience the emotional ebbs and flows of life with all it’s difficulties and challenges, but there will be less suffering, more self-confidence to deal with life’s challenges, more genuine self-worth and inner peace. And therefore more connection, and love with other’s too. Now isn’t that something worth striving for?

It’s about the bigger picture - how society affects us subconsciously. How cultural norms and backgrounds and of course how your childhood may have unconsciously influenced you as a human being, your strengths, talents, warts and all.
